The graduating class of nearly 600 students attracted significant scholarship offers of well over $7 million per year.
This included three Gates Millennium Scholarships, four Posse Foundation and three Questbridge scholarship winners.
Two Gateway students became the first graduates of the Medical School
Pipeline program to be accepted into the highly competitive eight-year BA/MD
program at Hofstra/North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine.
After twenty-seven years, Gateway founding director Morton Slater retired. In a continued show of support, City College named Dr. Doris Cintron, Senior Associate Provost for Academic Affairs as the new Executive Director.
Gateway also welcomed Dr. Eileen Petruzillo, a long time affiliate of the program, as the new Director.
